On Monday, we were lucky enough to have an author visit our classroom.Jaimie Liew is the author of two books, and a CBC Canada Reads finalist for 2025. She is also the proud mom of Vera in our class, so it was a real treat to sit down with her and talk about the journey of an author. Is is very serendipitous that her visit happened while we are embarking on our own author adventures, as both her non fiction, and fiction books came from exploring her own family history. She gave us some great advice for writing, and for the journey we are taking to share the stories of our relatives in the biography project we are doing.
