Bug Quest Collecting

Yesterday our class set up a bug trap in the back to nature area of our yard.  The trap is part of an ongoing international mission to collect a survey of bug DNA from various locations around the world in an effort to map DNA for study.  It resembles a small tent, and there is some signage saying what it all is.  We will gather the samples each week for the next two months, and then send them all off for cataloguing.  There are high visibility flags on all of the tent cords, and it is in an out of the way part of back to nature, so it should not be a problem for anyone.  Take a look if you are ever in the yard.  You can see it through the fence from the area to the left of the stage.
