Today we had a presentation by local hip hop artist and public speaker Peter Joynt.  Ask your child about his messages regarding resilience and overcoming obstacles in life.

Remembrance Day Sharing hosted by Room 207

Last weeks remembrance day ceremony was a big event for the students of room 207. We hosted this annual sharing, and all students played an active part in the presentation of the skit our class put on, and the introduction of other classes/welcomes to our visitors, etc.  The skit our class presented, was called “sack, lunch, flying”, and dealt with the ideas of respecting our veterans and people who serve in the Armed Forces. It was very well presented by the students, with several days of practice all culminating in a wonderful performance.  Artwork in the gymnasium was put up by several classes, including ours.  Many students also performed at the ceremony with the ukulele and guitar clubs.  Overall, it was a very well run and respectful ceremony. I hope that students came home and shared some of the experience with family members.

Field fun!

Our trip to Mckellar Park was met with beautiful weather and a lot of smiling faces.  Ask your child about throwing and catching footballs, ultimate frisbee, and water rocket launches.

Reading buddies fun

We are reading buddies with the students in the bumblebee kinder class.  Ad you can see, It is a highlight of the week for both classes!
