Chromebook Journey

We are starting a bit of a Chromebook Journey this week as we all get familiar with our new set of class Chromebooks.  Each student will be assigned a Chromebook for use during structured times over the remainder of the year, and they will be responsible for the care, and use of it.  There will be students from Room 310 who are sharing each Chromebook as well.
This will allow students more access to the Google accounts that they already are using, and it will enable us to be slightly more creative in our use of technology in the class.  These are meant to be tools, not toys, and as such we will be reviewing the appropriate use of them prior to starting this week.  There will be no unsupervised use of the Chromebooks, and no unsupervised access to the internet, so they will be primarily accessed during math, language, and science/social studies periods.
This is a great learning opportunity for us, and we are excited about it.
