Halloween fun

We debriefed the math freaks event today and everyone had great things to share.  In the middle block the second floor classes broke into multi aged groups and did some themed activities on rotation to each teacher.  My station had students singing along to themed songs for Halloween that I played on guitar for them, while students danced with Dana, made art with Andrew, did spooky science worth Sharon, and so on with each teacher.
During the last block of the day we did some “reflective study on the themes of this holiday season”...(not a Halloween party at all!!).  Ask your child about Edgar Allen Poe’s “The Raven” which we read, them watched a rendition of.  Also be sure to check out these photos from the apple “bobbing “ event.  That’s right, thanks to that activity they all ate at least one piece of fruit today before the junk food rush of Halloween kicked in!!!
