Today is Rowan's Law Day, possibly the most important awareness day on our calendar as the focus is on teaching/learning about head injuries, how to prevent them, and how to identify the symptoms. As I mentioned in class today, everyone has a brain, and protecting it should always be a primary concern.
We talked about the topic, watched the following two videos, and made some purple Hit, Stop, Sit t-shirts to help us remember, and raise awareness of Traumatic Brain Injuries (concussions).
Ask your child about the symptoms of a concussion, and about Rowan's story.
