Terry Fox and busy Friday

Hello Room 308 families.  It was a busy day in class today, with our first visit to our reading buddies, some work with patterning and pentominoes, work summarizing non fiction articles, and lots of warm weather!!!

Just a heads up to look for the Terry Fox forms that came home today.  There are pledge sheets, or you can go online and donate in the name of Churchill Alternative School

This Thursday, September 28th, is our annual Terry Fox Run at Dovercourt field.

We will leave Churchill at 10:40 to walk to Dovercourt.  Students will run and then eat snack, before returning to Churchill for approximately 1:00pm.

Volunteers are needed for the walk and the event.  Please look for pledge forms, and permission forms, in your child's backpack.  The link below can be used to make donations online, in the name of Churchill Alternative School.  

Every day next week students will be collecting Toonies for Terry in the classrooms, so send in your pocket change!

 To date we have raised almost $35 000 as a school over the past 13 years!  Let's do this for Terry!
