Today we will be looking closely at the federal election. As part of Student Vote Canada our class will be voting for their choice to represent Ottawa Center in the next federal parliament. The ballots we will use were provided by Elections Canada, and will be identical to those used in our local riding (apart from the Student Vote logo) so you might want to ask your child what their opinion is regarding the candidates in this election. We have looked at the big three parties in recent weeks, and discussed the Green and a few other parties. Today we will look at all of our local candidates, their parties, and what they stand for before we go and make our votes.
