Music and Message Assignment

Last weekend the students in room 308 were asked to select a song and analyze the lyrics in it, to come up with their interpretation of what the main idea is.  So far we have been very impressed by the detailed analysis of song lyrics by those who have shared their homework with us.  Songs presented so far have dealt with drug abuse and addiction, the environment, bullying, the struggle format rights, and the struggle for black equality, just to mention a few. We are able to listen to about four songs each day, so we hope to have had most present their songs by Friday.  Please check with your child to see if they are prepared to share.

Yesterday was our last skate of the year.  We went to Dulude 6 times, and did a double skate one day, so, with the trip to the Governor Generals, that makes 8 skates together this year!  Pretty nice!  Check out some pics from yesterday's skate.
