Room 308's House of Fraction Pizza!

Today the students in Room 308 opened our very own Fraction Pizza Parlour!  Below is an overview of the expectations.  We will share the finished products when the shop opens!

Build a Fraction Pizza

Each pizza must feature a variety of toppings (at least 5).

Your pizza must be divided into 8 slices (grade 5) or 10 slices (grade 6).

You should create a design for the cover of your pizza box, and a name, one that will attract customers.

On the inside of your lid you need to display your “Menu”

Menu must include;

• Each of the individual toppings
• A fraction showing how much of the whole pizza this topping covers
• Equivalent fractions for each topping (Grade 5’s - 10, Grade 6’s - 5)
• At least 5 equivalent Complimentary Fractions
• An equation using the Complimentary Fraction of the pizza needed to make one whole for each topping (how much of the pizza does not have this topping)
• Decimal and percentages for each topping (Grade 6’s)
